Leo Hollen Jr. is an Atlanta-based documentary filmmaker, editor, and creative producer whose work explores the intersections of identity, power, queerness, and place. His debut feature Queer Moxie — now streaming on Amazon Prime — spotlighted the radical queer performance art scene in Atlanta and screened at LGBTQ+ festivals nationally and abroad. His current feature, XOXO: For the Love of Football, examines gender, intimacy, and community through the lens of a women's tackle football team.

Beyond the screen, Leo is deeply committed to building infrastructure for LGBTQ+ storytellers in the South. He co-founded the Queer Film Alliance and the Queer Film Summit, serves on the board of Out on Film — Atlanta's Oscar® and BAFTA®-qualifying LGBTQ+ film festival — and helped launch the Reel Resistance Fellowship, a grant and artist development program supporting queer Southern filmmakers.

Rooted in Southern Black queer experience, his work is cinematic, character-driven, and built for audiences who don't often see themselves centered on screen.
